Sio Ramirez Pitre is an experienced litigator who has several years of practice experience in the areas of family law, family based immigration, business formation, wills and trusts, international adoptions and general liability defense. She has handled complex litigation to trial and has a tremendous amount of experience in negotiating good and fair settlements for her clients. She has been in courthouses up in Amarillo all the way down to Brownsville and all the in-betweens.
She was born in Guatemala but immigrated to the U.S. as a small child and grew up in the Los Angeles area. She received a BA in History and Women's Studies from UCLA. After graduation she chose to make Houston her second home. She graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas and is admitted to practice in Texas State Courts and the Federal Southern District of Texas. In 2009 she was honored to be chosen by Texas Magazine as a "Top Lawyer for the People" and in 2006 as an "Attorney on the Fast Track". She has written numerous general litigation defense articles, has given CE presentations and assessed companies regarding risk management. She has appeared as a guest on the Michael Berry radio show discussing "All Things Adoption".
Sio is a resident of the Woodlands and is married to Andrew and has three children. Sio had been practicing in Houston for the past six years and in 2008 Sio "came home to the Woodlands" and joined the Kalish Law Firm. She has brought with her an aggressive enthusiastic practice. Her belief is to handle every case with the utmost legal professionalism while aggressively fighting for her clients' rights. She is a polite and charming Hispanic Woman who follows the Kalish motto, "Passionate, Professional, Personal. We make the Difference."
