Rachel Hershkowitz Hopson brings a variety of experiences and education to the Kalish Law Office team. Prior to joining Kalish Law Office, she managed her own law firm, as well as worked for law firms in
She writes and lectures in the areas of estate planning and risk management and works with small business owners and family-owned businesses to create a long-term plan for the business to cover the possibility of the incapacity or death of an owner or partner.
Prior to attending law school, Rachel worked in the health care field, where she treated and counseled patients regarding their health care needs and worked extensively in quality control. She has knowledge and experience in planning for health care powers of attorney, powers of attorney, and she counsels clients and families who are facing serious or terminal illnesses. When necessary, she visits seriously ill clients in their home, hospital or facility.
Rachel represents clients in probate court for letters testamentary, muniment of title and other contested and uncontested probate situations. She has the knowledge to guide executors through the administration and distribution of the estate.
Her compassion, practical knowledge and prior health care experience make Rachel a natural when working with individuals and families in the areas of simple wills, trusts, estate planning, Medicaid planning, elder planning, and probate.
